4th place for The DriftKid at Rd2 of ADGP

The day started with a good 3 hours of practice in the morning allowing us the get the car dialled in ready for the all important qualifying after lunch.

Nick giving the wall a bit of a rub during qualifying gave him some extra style points giving him the Number 5 position for battles & subsequently a bye run in the top 32.

Top 16 Battle was with West Australian Brent Gordon in the V8 S15 Silvia.

Nick took the win with a outstanding chase run.

Next up in the Top 8 was South Aussie Young Gun Jack Widdais in the RB powered Nissan R31.
Jack making a mistake on his chase run meant Nick just had to give a good clean chase giving the win to Nick.

Top 4 Nick saw Beau "The Show" Yates in his factory backed Toyota FT86.
This was always going to be an epic battle as both guys are top level drivers hungry for those all important championship points.

Nick put on a great chase matching Beaus entry & sticking to him like super glue all the way across the finish line.
On the switch around Nick wanted to make it hard for Beau to follow close so he through it in a little later than normal but unfortunately went off track on entry handing the win to Beau.

Battle for 3rd was against the Little KE70 Wagon piloted by Jarrod Klingberg from South Australia.
The judges couldn't Pick a winner in the first run so they called for a re-run.
Nick pushed hard on the chase but unfortunately spun on the entry to the hairpin handing the win to Jarrod & Nick Placed 4th for the Day.

With a win last round & 4th position in Round 2 Nick is still the leader in the Australian National Drift Series & with only 2 rounds to go is looking good to go that 1 step better than last year's runner up.
