DriftKid

Nick Coulson, now known as the DriftKid started drifting at the tender age of 15.
Never driven a car and 6 months away from obtaining the right to have a learners permit. Nick's father Martin Coulson, owner of Just Nice Cars Moorooka decided that he would take Nick to a Drift training night at Archerfield in December 2008. With in the first 15 minutes of watching Nick do doughnuts and drifts, Martin thought "Nick's got real natural talent" and his instructor made comment on how good Nick was able to control the car without any real experience and how they think "He will be the next Drift Star".
The mere mention to Nick, did he want to try a Wednesday night practice session, was the start of the Driftkid's rise to become the next Big name in Drifting. Nick has since been to 90% of the Wednesday practices and has entered any and every competition he has been legally able to enter which has been hard pressed to find because many would not even except his application due to DriftKid's young age. Then he turned 16 and has his Learners Permit, they are now more then happy to have him enter their competition as he always pulls the crowds. So that's how the DriftKid started his journey to become Australia's #1 Drifter.

DriftKid's says "I have the enthusiasm to make it to the top. I go out there and just do my best and I love it..I have a great team of sponsors and they work really hard to get my skyline ready to race..I enjoy the challenge of new tracks and I feel that I adapt quickly to any situation ..I have a lot of old school friends, family & supporters who watch me Drift and I love sliding it around the tracks..It's a real Buzz"
Nick attended Forest Lake College and finished his year 12 certificate last year (2010).  2011 might just be one of the biggest years in his life. With his first year in the professional Drift Tour, we think he has some real potential to give the high ranking boys a real run for their money and maybe, just maybe place on the podium for the 2011 Pro Tour Drift.

Nick spends most of his spare time on the Drift tracks but works full time for a Wholesale Used Car Dealer in Brisbane.   Nick loves cars and has quite a good knowledge of all makes and models and will some day make a fantastic buyer for Just Nice Cars, if he chooses to go down that rout. Nicks long term future goal is to Drift for Australia and go overseas to show them his natural talent in Drifting.
